Teleclip TV is an Internet news channel made by and for youth between the ages of 7 and 16 that targets a youth audience in the Spanish-speaking world.
On Teleclip TV young people develop and present professionally produced stories of interest to youth in their range. Through this process, they learn to work responsibly and with technology using a journalists approach.
Teleclip TV is part of e-Television’s theme based channels. e-Television is a research project directed by Loreto Corredoira, Professor of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and is part of the Technology Transfer Catalogue OTRI-UCM and the mi+d system of the Madrid Autonomous region.
Since 2007, e-Television has been developing Teleclip TV, in collaboration with other universities, technology partners and educational organizations to expand its reach throughout Spain, Latin America and the United States.

Teleclip TV and Education
Teleclip TV focuses on the educational aspect of audiovisual media, both in school and at home. Along with e-Television, Tele Clip focuses on the role of video in teaching. The channel regularly documents and researches the opinions, experience and participation of professors and teachers.
Teleclip TV is a tool for young people to learn by doing. They tell stories, and conduct interviews while presenting quality content of interest to kids from all over the world.
Children can participate directly by sending their videos to the channel. In our institutional website Telecliptv.es the process for making and uploading a video is explained in detail. We respect author’s rights and request parental authorization for minors to appear on screen. Our objective is twofold: to set an example with regard to copyright laws and to teach youth compliance with these laws.
Teleclip provides educational television workshops to schools in Spain, Mexico, Chile and the United States. The model may be expanded soon to include other countries. The Teleclip 15-hour workshop model has already been used by schools to produce digital content for their schools and Teleclip TV. For further information, visit Teleclip.tv.
Agreements with schools and institutions include the distribution of the videos on our site or in other sub-channels for corporate distribution. We offer training for teachers, parents and other groups.
Teleclip TV is part of a larger research project on digital media literacy. All research findings are published in educational journals and through conferences.
Through Teleclip TV young people learn to:
value ideas of others as they research topics for their clips
understand the complexity of the ideas and information they wish to transmit
write and broadcast video productions in a way that is comprehensible for their audience.
develop excellent oral and written skills
learn presentation skills through body language
As a result, children and teachers become comfortable around mass media. They also acquire knowledge and understanding of the society around them and they cultivate a critical view to be able to recognize quality and accuracy in the content they produce.
Children improve their interpersonal skills on Web 2.0 through blogs and others social networks. This access to culture results in an intercultural dialogue among young people from diverse backgrounds.
As an example, two groups of “reporters” with their own blogs or websites recently joined Teleclip TV. One is a teen rock band (Balyan) and the other is a skateboard team (http://patateam.wordpress.com/). Their videos are available on the Interactive Generation Forum channel (Foro Generaciones Interactivas) at: www.teleclip.tv.

In Teleclip TV we have a special sensibility towards the educational and recreational aspect of audiovisual media, both inside the school and within the family.
That is why we like counting on you, because you help your children in recording their vídeos and because we want to know what do you think of our channel, how do your children use it, etc.
You're welcome to leave your comments at

As you know, the use of Image rights for children must be authorized by the parents and/or legal guardians. This is essential to us. We want to be different from the rest of Web sites out there where there is no restraint.
The videos that your children upload directly through Teleclip.tv are previewed by our staff and then it is decided if they will be published or not. We try to do this as soon as possible in order to allow children to see their production online, but an essential condition is that you authorize the videos of any one under 18 years of age. This can be done by filling out a form that you cand find under the SEND US YOUR VIDEOS section found in Teleclip.tv where we ask for your name, e-mail, telephone number, etc. so we can reach you and corroborate the information.
You can also send us a signed document, following this model, that can be downloaded here(.DOC) or here (.PDF).
If you experience any dificulties in sending us this scanned document, please send us an email with all your information so we can check your identity, directly at

We keep a database of participants in order to be able to inform the users of their rights and in compliance with Data Protection and Privacy Laws currently in force in Europe, Spain and all over the world. We do not give such data to third parties and in accordance to the Law you might consult it or modify.
