Teleclip TV is an Internet news channel made by and for youth between the ages of 7 and 16 that targets a youth audience in the Spanish-speaking world.

On Teleclip TV young people develop and present professionally produced stories of interest to youth in their range. Through this process, they learn to work responsibly and with technology using a journalists approach.

Teleclip TV is part of e-Television’s theme based  channels. e-Television is a research project directed by Loreto Corredoira, Professor of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and is part of the Technology Transfer Catalogue OTRI-UCM and the mi+d system of the Madrid Autonomous region.

Since 2007, e-Television has been developing Teleclip TV, in collaboration with other universities, technology partners and educational organizations to expand its reach throughout Spain, Latin America and the United States.

Currently, Teleclip TV has its own production team and channel at http://www.teleclip.tv/ with its own technology management and streaming video broadcasts  using a custom made flash player for video playback and distribution, getting the most out of Web 2.0 tools and enhancing user interactivity.

Our team includes journalists and professionals from Latin-America and the United States: Mª José Labrador, a Mexican, working out of Chile who serves as the and local Teleclip TV representative for both countries; Carole Cummings in New York as representative of Teleclip TV USA;Rodrigo Cetina, a Mexican based in Madrid; Inés Gutierrez our camara and editor; Leonor Garcia Álvarez, journalist and professor of various postgraduate courses in Spain; and recent graduates José Palomo and Beatriz López Gonzalez as part of the production team.  Pending agreements with schools and cultural institutions in the US, Mexico, Peru and Chile will expand the Teleclip TV network.
